Buddy Tape Research to Be Presented at the International Horticultural Congress
Japan Concept Managing Director Jonathan Caisley will speak at the International Horticultural Congress in Kyoto on 25 August, as part of Aglis’ presentation on recent Buddy Tape research.
The presentation will focus on trial work carried out over the last three years in Italy and France, examining how Buddy Tape can support alternative grafting techniques to conventional omega grafting. Propagation losses are often reported at around 30–50%, making improvements in grafting success increasingly important.
As consumers, supermarkets and regulators place greater pressure on agriculture to reduce waste, improving propagation efficiency becomes a significant opportunity to protect valuable resources. The conference presentation will explain how Buddy Tape may contribute to higher grafting success rates and reduced losses in professional nursery production.
