Technical Guidance

STORAGE

Store Buddy Tape out of sunlight as UV exposure causes the tape to degrade and could effect its' performance.

Keep within a temperature range of 10°C-30°C. Avoid leaving the tape in hot vehicles.

WEATHER

Once the tape has been applied it will be resistant to rainy and windy conditions. However, we recommend avoiding applying Buddy Tape in the rain as water on the surface could affect the initial adhesion of the tape.

Also note that in temperatures of lower than 15C the elasticity of the film is reduced.

Do not remove Buddy Tape from its' protective case before application as this is necessary for protection from pressure and UV light.

Testing Under Local Conditions

Buddy Tape is used to aid the budding and grafting process, but success rates are dependent on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, method of application, growing conditions, climate, humidity, temperature, as well as varieties and quality of grafted material.

Buddy Tape helps to prevent dehydration of the areas covered to protect the health of the grafted tree, however in areas with exposure to high levels of UV light and high day/night gradient it is possible that the tape may break early.

The manufacturer’s guarantee is limited to the characteristics of the tape falling within the specifications outlined in this document, but Aglis cannot accept responsibility for the failure of any particular grafting or budding application.

It is the responsibility of the user to carry out thorough testing before commercial use in order to ensure that the parameters set out in this application are suitable for the user’s individual conditions and circumstances.
